Not, apparently, having learned my lesson last year, I agreed to help run the Summerfest bar again this year. In fact I agreed to get back from Germany late Friday and set off for Summerfest early Saturday.

In the early 90s a friend of my sister's identified a model for fools and heroes fests that he dubbed "The Amulet of Zlarg". In an Amulet of Zlarg fest something horrible happens on Friday night. Today I basically made a Greek Salad (in a 300ml pudding basin). Since these basins don't look exactly water-tight (or even that securely fastened and I have a bicycle ride followed by a train journey before reaching work) I patted all the ingredients dry on a paper towel before packing (esp. the feta cheese and olives which were stored in liquid ( Read more... )
